Jeremy Meaden is a trumpet and flugelhorn player from Guildford, Victoria, Australia. From hard hitting horn lines to smoky and soulful solos, the jazz-trained, ska/punk/rock-reared trumpeter’s style is dynamic and diverse.
His sound can currently be heard live and on record with groups such as The Resignators, Grand Noise Consortium, King Stone, Pip Avent’s Mouldy Jazz, Cherry Flambe and The Suits, and The Family Farm Band. He has also previously performed and recorded with numerous local and international groups including The Vals, Western Standard Ska Orchestra and Northern Ireland Soul Troop.
He has toured both domestically and internationally, including to Canada, the U.S.A, Japan, Europe and the United Kingdom. He has appeared on such esteemed festival stages such as Boomtown Festival in Winchester UK, Rebellion Festival in Blackpool UK, Might Sounds in Tabor CZ, Pouzza Fest in Montreal CA, Victoria Ska And Reggae Festival CA, Open Flair Festival DE, Pod Parou Festival CZ, Train To Skaville Festival HR, Burg Herzberg Festival DE, as well as Australian festivals Woodford Folk Festival and The Gum Ball.
He has played support slots for bands such as The English Beat, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Peter Green, Ocean Colour Scene, The Selector, Bad Manners, The Toasters, The Creepshow, Area 7, Raygun Cowboys and Los Kung Fu Monkeys.
